Senator Cardin serves on the Foreign Relations, Judiciary, Environment and Public Works, Budget and Small Business Committees. He is also an Obama supporter.

The Election Judges who operate the polling places are a very important part of the electoral process. Election Judges staff all of St. Mary’s County's polling places at both the Primary and General elections.

Judges are paid $30 for completing the training and $125 for being a judge on Election Day.
