The National Student/Parent Mock Election (NSPME) is pleased to announce that the 2008 Mock Election will be carried out -- with the collaboration of Google -- in schools all across Maryland, as well as in all 50 states, Washington D.C., and in American schools overseas. Google will collect all the votes and host the national election headquarters for the NSPME at its Washington, D.C.

The polls are open in St. Mary's County from 7 a.m. until 8 p.m. If you are in line at 8 p.m., you will still be allowed to vote. Less busy times of day are between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m.

You can still get an application for an absentee ballot by going IN PERSON to the St. Mary's County Board of Elections in Leonardtown. You can also send a designated representative to get an absentee ballot for you. Contact the Board of Elections for details.
